Raymond P. Carver

Raymond P. Carver, 82, of Methuen passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA. He was born on April 19, 1936 in Methuen to the late George and Anna (Jurkwicz) Carver.

Raymond was born and raised in Methuen and attended Methuen Public schools. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves for four years. Raymond was a welder by trade. He enjoyed music, writing, and nature. His dream was to publish a book of short stories, which he accomplished in 2013.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Irene (Bush) Carver of Methuen; four children, Paul Carver and his wife, Denise of Haverhill, Andrew Carver and wife, Priscilla of Haverhill, Julie Robichaud and her husband, Steve of Plaistow, NH, and Christopher Carver and his wife, Gail of Salem, NH; several grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his loyal dog, Todd.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. His funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 8th at 1:00 PM in Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex Street in Lawrence.
