Phyllis G. (Tatro) Simone, 87, of Methuen passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Lawrence General Hospital. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Allicon) Tatro.
Raised and educated in Lawrence, Phyllis was a graduate of St. Patrick High School. Besides raising her family, she worked with her husband running Simone’s Farm in Methuen. She enjoyed traveling, trips to casinos, and spending time at the beach. Most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and family.
Phyllis was predeceased by her son, William Simone, III and brother, John Tatro.
She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-nine years, William “Billy” Simone; her children, Constance McDonald of Lowell, Gary Simone and his wife, Marie of PA, Frank Simone and his wife, Paula, John Simone and his wife, Karen, and Emily DiGloria and her husband, Joseph, all of Methuen; sister, Margaret Durst and her husband, Henry of Methuen. She also leaves fifteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. in Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 10, 2018 at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack St. in Methuen. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
