Phillip D. Stella

Phillip D. Stella, 43, of Andover, unexpectedly passed away on March 4, 2021, at Lowell General Hospital.  He was born in Methuen and was a graduate of Methuen High School. A gifted artist, Phillip attended Massachusetts College of Art and Design and graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

With his remarkable talent for finding beauty in nature, Phillip worked for many years as a designer for RGA Flower Shop in Salem, NH.  For many years, he worked with the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate at St. Joseph the Worker Shrine in Lowell, where he was recently promoted to Administrative Director.  A devout Catholic, Phillip found beauty and comfort in the Church every day.

Phillip is survived by his parents, George and Kathleen (McGovern) Stella of Salem, NH; his partner, Michael Jordan of Maynard, MA; his sister, Patricia Fee and her husband Shawn of Andover; his brother, Paul J. Stella of Salem, NH; his nephews, Jacob Fee and Adam Fee and his niece, Catherine Fee of Andover; aunts, uncles, cousins; and a great many friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, March 14, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 15, 2021, at Our Lady of Good Counsel / St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth Street in Methuen. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.

As of the latest update, we are able to offer visitation periods and funeral services in the funeral home or at a church.
