Philip A. Mailhot, 90, of Lawrence passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Lawrence General Hospital. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late William and Delia (Carrier) Mailhot.
Philip was raised and educated in Lawrence and worked as a custodian and provided maintenance for Honeywell’s facility until his retirement. Mr. Mailhot served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Private First Class. He enjoyed dancing, putting a smile on peoples face, and mostly spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, Eric and Brian. Philip had a very unique sense of humor and witty personality, always showing his love for others by making them laugh and putting others’ needs before his own.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of fifty-one years, Bertha (Parnagian) Mailhot, and four siblings. He is survived by his children, Dennis Mailhot and his companion, Trudy Bernier of Lawrence, and Corinne Arfwedson of Plaistow, NH; siblings, Dorothy St. Hilare, Gertrude Routhier, and Paul Mailhot; grandsons, Eric Arfwedson and his wife, Lori, and Brian Mailhot.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 8th at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover.
