Peter J. Ciaraldi, 94, of Methuen died June 28, 2018 at Nevins Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Methuen. He was born in Lawrence on June 9, 1924 to the late Anthony and Lucy (Grosse) Ciaraldi.
Educated in the Lawrence schools, Peter then went on to be employed at Raytheon until his retirement. He joined the United States Navy and honorably served as Chief Petty Officer from 1942 until 1946. He was awarded four battle stars and six ribbons for his time in Pearl Harbor, among other South Pacific islands. Peter enjoyed fishing at Lake Winnipesaukee and deep-sea fishing with his son, grandson, and late friend, Joe Cuomo. He also enjoyed summers with his family at his Salisbury Beach home. Devoted to his grandchildren, he never missed a sporting event or school play. His favorite memories included many family vacations and winters in Florida with good friends.
Peter was the beloved husband of Louise (Tesoro) Ciaraldi with whom he shared seventy years of marriage. He was the devoted father to Caryn Incollingo and her husband, Richard of Atkinson, NH and Peter M. Ciaraldi and his wife, Julie of Salem, NH. Peter was the loving grandfather to Erin (Incollingo) Piccirilli, Krista Incollingo, Jordan (Ciaraldi) Sjostrom, Taylor Ciaraldi, and Peter Joseph Ciaraldi.
The family would like to thank Dr. Sunu Yeh and Dr. Sarah Tsiaras for the exceptional care they gave to Peter.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, June 30, 2018 prior to the mass from 8:00 - 9:30 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral mass will be offered on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex Street in Lawrence. A family burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery will take place at a later date.
