Paul D. Smith

Paul D. Smith, 63, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2019. He was the loving husband of Maryann (DelliColli) Smith with whom he shared twenty-five wonderful years in marriage.

Born in Waltham, MA, the son of the late Donald and Mary (McDonald) Smith, Paul was raised and educated in Danvers, MA, graduating from Danvers High School, class of 1975 and in 2006 received a Master’s Degree in Management from Cambridge College. He enjoyed a long career in sales, working with Almy’s Department Store, Ron Gilefsky & Company, and HR Sawyer Schwinn Cyclery. Paul was always happy to help customers.

He was a proud member of St. Lucy Parish in Methuen and attended mass regularly.

Remembered as a loving family man, Paul is survived by his wife, Maryann; daughter, Teresa Butterfield and her husband Nathan, of Haverhill, MA; step-sons, Scott Wain of Haverhill and Kevin Wain of Tampa, FL; soon-to-be-grandson, Paul Butterfield; step-grandson, Chace; siblings: Michael Smith, David Smith, Donna Eldridge and their spouses; and several nieces.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2019 at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack Street in Methuen. Burial will follow at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
