Paul J. Gmyrek, III

Paul J. Gmyrek, III, 54, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 16, 1969, he was the son of the late Paul and Gail (Pecoy) Gmyrek.

Born in Haverhill, MA, and raised in Lawrence, MA, Paul graduated from the Greater Lawrence Technical School. He loved being outside and had a great sense of humor, always making jokes and making many friends along the way. He was very skilled, working as a laborer in the construction industry for many years and thoroughly enjoyed working with his hands.

Along with his parents, Paul is pre-deceased by his beloved sister, Diane Gmyrek, and nephew, Ryan Covey.

He will be deeply missed and is survived by his loving son, Derek Caster and his wife Amanda of Epsom, NH; siblings, Kevin Gmyrek and his wife Meredith Whiting of Haverhill, MA, Steven Gmyrek of Westford, MA, Caryn Mooneyhan of Amesbury, MA, and Douglas Gmyrek of Salisbury, MA; as well as his grandson, Carson Caster; nephew, Timothy Mooneyhan; and niece, Krystal Gmyrek.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. Burial will take place on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Grove Street, Methuen, MA.
