I have been gone from the Haverhill area since 2010. I just became aware of Paul's passing. I had a lot of fun flying with Paul. I went on an Oshkosh flying trip with him, we had a wonderful time. Paul checked me out in many airplanes. I knew him very well. I am really sorry that he is gone.

I had a number of wonderful telephone conversations with Paule about radio control and other subjects and although we never met in person he made you feel like a special friend. Godspeed Paul you will be missed by many.

So sorry for your loss, I knew Paul back in his "Birddog Flying days and can still
picture him taking off out of Duttons In Haverhill back in the mid 70's . Paul
was a great pilot and an even better person, I will keep him and you in my prayers.

A smart, very talented and conscientious pilot has taken flight to soon. He provided a great source of comfort and security for our family when he was in the cockpit. He was a great friend and mentor to Joe. A kind and gentle soul he was. Our deepest condolences to you. He is in our prayers and will be missed.

Marie and I offer our deepest, heartfelt condolences during this trying time of Paul's passing to you, Ann and the family. In the too brief time flying models with Paul we found him to be a charming and generous host, sharp of wit and knowledgeable on many topics. Paul's resourcefulness finding indoor places to fly during the harsh New England Winters made possible many happy hours of indoor flying for men and boys alike while the ladies enjoyed socializing. Another flier goes west and he will be sorely missed.

High Flight

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth,
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds, --and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of --Wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air...
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark or even eagle flew --
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.
