Nicholas Jon Maggio, 32, of Derry, NH passed away Monday, May 7, 2018. Nick was born in Lawrence on August 23, 1985, the son of Peter M. and Irene H. (Jakobsen) Maggio.
He graduated from Methuen High School, class of 2003. Nick loved spending time with family and friends, most especially, his adoring daughter, Lillian “Lila.” Nick was a true genuine guy, with a charismatic personality who loved to help people any way that he could. He was also very intelligent and very well spoken, sometimes too smart for his own good. He enjoyed reading, computers, politics, animals, but mostly spending time with his family. Nick fought a long courageous battle with addiction. He will be very dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Nick is survived by his daughter, Lillian Jane Maggio of Atkinson, NH; wife, Lillian J. Maggio of Salem, NH; parents, Peter M. and Irene H. (Jakobsen) Maggio of Atkinson, NH; sister, Gayge Maggio and her partner, Antonia of Brooklyn, NY; and brothers, Christian and Peter Maggio both of Methuen; niece and nephew, Rachel and Logan Maggio. He also leaves behind several uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and many dear friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Monday, May 14, 2018 from 10:00 -1:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visiting hours at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Nick’s memory be made to Farnum Center, 140 Queen City Ave., Manchester, NH 03103.
