Mildred A. Parker

Mildred A. Parker, 93, a longtime Lawrence, MA resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence where she received excellent care. She was the daughter of the late Nunzia (Basile) and Salvatore Pulverenti.

Born and raised in Lawrence, Mildred graduated from Lawrence High School, class of 1944. She enjoyed many years working at Raytheon, in the production control department and retired in 1988. During her retirement years, she worked at the Frost School in Lawrence in the Grandparents’ Program.

A hard worker, Mildred never complained about her day’s work, happy to be able to provide for her children. Work was always important but was never more so than her family, especially her children and grandchildren, whom she adored so much. Proud of her Italian heritage, she especially enjoyed sharing her family history with her children, so that they too might feel proud. An avid reader, Mildred also enjoyed walking, nature, and music. Her favorite music included artists such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Tony Bennett. People will always remember Millie for her keen sense of humor.

Mildred was predeceased by her siblings: Josephine Ferrante, Mary Fusco, Lucy Coelho, Serena Gearin, Anthony Pulverenti, Angelina Pulverenti, Theresa Karoliszyn, and John J. Parker, her former husband, to whom she always remained close.

She is survived by her children: Janice Drinkwater of Methuen, Judith Parker of Haverhill, John Parker, Jr. of New York, NY, Jill Butler and her husband Ronald of Nashua, NH; grandchildren: John, Kara, Paige, John, Ashlyn, and Evan; great-grandchildren: Adeline, Sean, Reilly, Roean, Jesyiah, Johnathen, Jaxson, and Emersyn.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, all services will be private.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date under the direction of Cataudella Funeral Home in Methuen.
