Michael E. Lynch
July 27, 1963 ~ September 21, 2022 (age 59) 59 Years Old
Michael E. Lynch, 59, of Lawrence, MA, who summered at Salisbury Beach’s oceanfront, passed away peacefully, at home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was the son of the late Neil F. and Ida L. (Cristaldi) Lynch.
Born and raised in Methuen, MA, Michael graduated from Methuen High School, class of 1981. A few years later, he enlisted in the United States Army and was assigned to serve in Germany and eventually returned stateside and was stationed at the Pentagon serving as a Supply Sergeant until his honorable discharge.
After his service in the military, Michael returned home to Methuen where he raised his family. He later moved to Lexington, SC to be closer to his children and grandchildren. In 2018, Michael returned to Massachusetts and settled in Lawrence. With a passion for the ocean, Michael, could be found at Salisbury Beach enjoying surfing, tanning, and meeting people. Michael worked hard at becoming a proficient skate boarder and became quite versatile. He enjoyed any sport that involved a board and balance.
Michael is survived by his children: Robert Lynch of Lexington, SC, Angela Lynch of Lexington, SC, Denise Lynch of W. Columbia, SC; their mother, Olivera Dufort-Lynch and her husband and great friend of Michael, David Dufort and their daughter, Nicole Dufort, whom Michael adored; grandchildren: Kalvin Butler, Kameron Butler, Kelsey Butler, Jr., Scarlett Jackson, Hakeem Jackson; siblings: Neil Lynch and his wife Margaret of Hampstead, NH, William Lynch of Lawrence, MA, Nancy (Lynch) LaFountain of Andover, MA, Mary (Lynch) Capriole and her husband John, Daniel Lynch, and his wife Kathy of Lawrence, MA, Thomas Lynch and his wife Julie of Hampstead, NH, Edward Lynch and his wife Gail of Salem, MA, and Elizabeth (Lynch) Clevesy and her husband Matthew of Groveland, MA; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 2:00–6:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Peasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
