Michael L. Conte passed away in his sleep on Thursday, August 27, 2020. The beloved son of Joyce M. LaFrance of Haverhill, MA and Leonard F. Conte of Merrimac, MA.

Born on November 21, 1979 in Lawrence, MA, Mike graduated from Central Catholic High School and Merrimack College with a BSBA, and recently obtained a degree in Computer Science with distinguished honors from Northern Essex Community College, and with certificates from Duke University.

Mike was a very intelligent, creative, focused man with a dry sense of humor, who was generous and carefree. He was unafraid of career changes and the increasing responsibility that followed his successes. He was employed as the Office Manager at A1 Fleet Door Services in Londonderry NH. Prior to that, he was an analyst at Raytheon, and director at Sephora and manager at Ann Taylor stores in Boston and New Hampshire.

Predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Leonard F. and Sebastiana "Nellie" (Sapienza) Conte and maternal grandfather, Albert O. LaFrance, all of Lawrence, MA, Mike is survived by his parents; his maternal grandmother, Eileen M. (Willett) LaFrance of Haverhill and Lawrence; stepmother, Linda (Hanson) Conte of Methuen; aunts and uncles, Anthony and Maryellen (Conte) Silva of Pelham, NH, Michael and Cathy (Conte) Colbert of Methuen, Don and Christine (Conte) Kossuth of Merrimack, NH, Leslie (LaFrance) Riemitis and Howie Steadman of Hampstead, NH, James and Kathleen (Kinsella) LaFrance of Atkinson, NH, Neal and Pam (Welch) LaFrance of West Newbury, MA, Brian and MaryEllen (Croft) LaFrance of Bradford, MA, and Russell and Patti Ann (LaFrance) Boisvert of Methuen; cousins, Anthony and Alyssa Silva, Matthew, Jonathan, and Jesse Colbert, Mark (and wife Nadia) and Jay Riemitis, Matthew, Katie, Jonathan, Jake, Chris, and Minta LaFrance, Joel and Julia Boisvert; goddaughter, Ella Dobrozi; godfather, Brian (and wife Marlene) Spatola; his sweet cat, Zoe; and many wonderful friends. Michael was so loved and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, September 4, 2020, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A prayer service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Mike’s ashes will be divided and interred with his maternal and paternal grandparents, and under a memorial tree at his mother’s home on a future date.
