Michael Chuairy

Michael Chuairy, 97, of Lawrence, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Mary Immaculate Nursing Center in Lawrence. He was the husband of the late Violette (Achkar)
Chuairy.

Born in Hammana, Lebanon to Antoun and Lamia (Ziade) Chuairy, Michael was predeceased by his nine siblings. In February 1959, he married Violette and in 1970 they immigrated to the United States and settled in Lawrence, where they happily remained. Michael spent most of his free time in his garden, a place he found peaceful, although he was happiest surrounded by his family. He was a hard worker and always stayed nearby for his children, ready to lend a helping hand. Michael was always eager to hear about his family's happenings and accomplishments, but never afraid to give his opinion and advice.

Michael is survived by his three children, Gabriel Chuairy and his wife Linda of Salem, NH, Raymond Chuairy and his wife Stacia of Dorchester, MA, and Hoda Moseley and her husband Joseph of Windham, NH; four grandchildren, of whom he was so proud of, Justine, Michael, Tyler, Matthew; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 8 Lowell Street in Lawrence. Burial will follow in the United Lebanese Cemetery in Lawrence.
