Maurice Navarria, of Methuen, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill. The son of the late Sam and Mary Navarria, he was 79 years of age.
Known to most as a member of Granite United Church in New Hampshire, Maurice worked as security guard for many years. In addition, he had worked for Grieco Brothers in Lawrence as a cutter for the company. An avid outdoorsman all of his life, Maurice was a hunter and a fisherman, and was very passionate about it. Maurice was a man who loved and cherished both his close and extended family, and will be dearly missed by all.
Maurice is survived by his sister-in-law, Joan Navarria; nephew, Joseph S. Navarria, Jr., and his wife Carol; nieces, Eris Navarria Croteau, and her husband James of Manchester, NH, and Leslie Beshara. He also leaves four great nephews and one niece; dear close friends, Michael and Joanne Armano.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM in the funeral home during the visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Maurice’s memory to Granite United Church, 1 Sand Hill Road, Salem, NH 03079.
