Mary M. Zytkewicz, 95, of Methuen, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, June 20, 2019.
Born and raised in Lawrence, Mary was one of two sisters, born to the late Nicholas and Victoria (Dzurbin) Victorich. For many years, she worked as a health care aide at a local area health agency until her retirement.
Mary met the love of her life Stanley Zytkewicz, while working for Pacific Mills. They were married for sixty-eight years and proudly raised four children together. Both Mary and Stanley loved to go Polka dancing in their youth and had the chance to visit Poland together when they were young. Mary and Stanley went to Foxwoods Casino all the time and loved to gamble.
Mary was a homebody. She loved to cook homemade dinners for her family every Sunday and enjoyed her walks to the local stores to go shopping. She was an avid reader and loved her Turner Classic Movies channel. A very loving and caring person, Mary will always be remembered for her dedication to her children.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, and her sister, Anna Lees. She is lovingly survived by her children, Sonja Zytkewicz-Czajka, and her wife Joan Czajka of Queen Creek, AZ, John Zytkewicz of Methuen, Bruce Zytkewicz of Salem, NH and Nancy Mottola, and her late husband John Mottola of Methuen; grandchildren, Marlo Sackett, and her husband Tom Sackett, Tara Palermo, Alicia Bell, and her husband JB Bell, Tiffany Mottola, Anthony Mottola, Nicholas Mottola, and Keri Blanchette, and her husband Derek Blanchette; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
