Mary P. Grosse, 94, a lifelong resident of Methuen, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2021. Mary was the daughter of the late Aristides and Sophia Psaros (Petrakis).
Mary was born and raised in Pleasant Valley and graduated from Searles High School in 1944. Mary did not have to go very far to find her perfect match, her next-door neighbor Fred Grosse. Mary and Fred enjoyed 65 years of marriage before Fred's passing in 2012.
After raising three children and years of employment at Western Electric, Mary enjoyed a 40-year retirement doing what she loved; sewing, playing Scrabble, traveling, and spending time with her six grandchildren, especially at her lake house in Maine. She was proud of her Greek heritage and loved to cook her favorite Greek dishes for friends and family. No one was allowed to leave Mary's table hungry.
Mary is survived by her children, Peter Grosse and wife Debbie of Atkinson, NH, David Grosse and partner Patricia Mangan of Bedford, NH, Gayle and husband David Law of Pelham, NH; grandchildren Jeffrey Grosse and wife Amy, Christopher Grosse and wife Natalie, Michael Grosse and partner Rachel Christian, Matthew Law and partner Jessica Massie, Katie and husband Andy Wood, Amanda and husband Jeremy Kennelly; three great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Benjamin and Abigail, and several nieces and nephews.
