Mary D’Emanuele, of Lawrence, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, October 16, 2020, at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA.
Born and raised in Lawrence, Mary was the daughter of the late Michael D’Emanuele and Ann (Catanese) D’Emanuele. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School and Merrimack College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was honored at her 50th Class Reunion for being recognized as the first female graduate to pursue a field in engineering during her career along with being an active alumni as a member of the Friends of Merrimack.
Mary worked at AVCO Corp. in the engineering field both in New England and San Diego. She later continued to broaden her career in Belgium. She enjoyed her travels to Italy, France, and Canada visiting her family and friends. Upon her retirement, Mary returned home to Lawrence to care for her aging parents, along with being employed for Marshalls, Andover. She was a member of the St. Rita’s Society and Holy Rosary Parish. She will always be remembered as a fun and loving aunt who enjoyed spending time with family over the holidays.
Mary is survived by many relatives residing in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Canada, Italy and France. Her closest relatives are her cousin, Freida Vitale of Methuen, along with her Godson, John Delaney, his wife Suzanne and daughters, Shannon Delaney and Adriana Delaney; cousins, Anthony Pappalardo, Paul and Linda Pappalardo , Donald Pappalardo, Orazio and Marguerite Civello (Canada), Tony and Raffaela Civello (Canada), and Monique Tondreau (France); along with their families, including several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 23, 2020, at St Mary Immaculate Conception Chapel Mausoleum at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. There will not be any visiting hours.
