Mary R. (Perzechino) Ahearn-Kim, 93, of Methuen passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Erminia (Barrone) Perzechino.
Mary was a graduate of Lawrence High School, New England School of Art. She was a Licensed Practicing Nurse and worked at the Chelsea Soldier’s Home and Holy Family Hospital. Mary worked at Western Electric for twenty years, starting at the entry level and eventually becoming a supervisor. She also owned and operated the McGowan Nursing Home in Methuen, and the Weymouth Manor Nursing Home. Mary was also a restaurant owner. She owned and operated the Puritan House Restaurant, Studio Restaurant, Dockside Restaurant, and Sword & Shield Restaurant.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Baeck Kim and her son, Frank Ahearn.
She is survived by her children, David Ahearn and his wife, Kay of Gloucester and Mary K. Ahearn and her partner, Rita Gautreau of Salisbury. She also leaves six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Monday, February 12, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish / St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm at Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester, MA.
