Martin Tokowicz

Martin Tokowicz, 82, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully at home January 20, 2023.  Born in Lawrence, MA, he was the son of the late Anthony and Stella (Kruk) Tokowicz. 
  
Raised in Methuen, Martin was a graduate of Tenney High School. After graduation, he served his country and enlisted in the US Air Force, where he was station in Morocco and was Honorably Discharged.  He returned home to Methuen, where he met Elsa, the love of his life and wife of 50-plus years.  Martin went to work for AVCO and during his employment he worked on the Apollo Project for NASA.  He ended his career at National Grid until his retirement.  Martin and Elsa enjoyed traveling to many different states, meeting new friends, and making memories that lasted a lifetime. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, camping, and watching his beloved New England Patriots with family and friends. 
  
Besides his parents, Martin was predeceased by his wife, Elsa (Gale) Tokowicz; his daughter, Tanya Tokowicz; and his granddaughter, Amber Urbanowicz. 
  
Martin is survived by his daughters, Kim Brightman and her husband Adam of Raymond, NH and Stacia Perrotta and her husband Anthony of Methuen; brothers, Anthony Tokowicz of Methuen, Richard Tokowicz and his wife Barbara Tomkins of North Andover, MA, and Edward Tokowicz of Methuen; grandchildren, Kyle Urbanowicz and Ava, Sophia, Savannah, and Anthony Perrotta; and his great-grandchild, Kaleigh Urbanowicz.  He also leaves many nieces and nephews. 
  
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
