Marie Claire (Roger) Berthiaume, 90, of Lawrence passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at the Lawrence General Hospital surrounded by her loving family . Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Alice (Payeur) Roger.
Claire was born, raised, and educated in Lawrence. She had a passion for knitting, crocheting, camping, square dancing and the beach. Claire was a devout Catholic, dedicated to her family and faith. Her love for her children and family was her main priority. She was always going out of her way to take care of her family and wanted nothing but happiness for them.
She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Clement “Lefty” Berthiaume; brother, Anthony Roger, grandson Eric Levasseur and in laws Eileen and Albert Gibeau and Donald Dane.
Claire is survived by her four daughters, Denise Berthiaume of Lawrence, Diane Brown of Derry, NH, Doreen and her husband Neil DeLuca of Ogunquit, ME, Dale and her husband Glenn DeLuca of Hampstead, NH ; grandchildren, Chad, Evan, Callie, Ashley, and Abby; great-grandson, Rylin; brother- in- law, Eldon and his wife Corinne Berthiaume of Lawrence, sister-in-law, Gladys Dane of N. Andover, Vincent and his wife Janet Berthiaume of Plaistow, NH, Della and her husband Les McDaniel of Bedford, NH; cousin, Doris Sevigny of Lawrence; close friend Patt Lynch of Lawrence and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will take place on Saturday, January 6th at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel/St. Theresa's Church, 22 Plymouth St, Methuen.
