Maria C. D'Attorre

Maria C. (Barbosa) D’Attorre, 92, of Estero, FL, formerly of Lawrence, MA, passed away December 18, 2020 in Ft. Myers, FL. She was born in Flores, Portugal, the daughter of the late Jose and Filomena (Teixeira) Barbosa.

Raised and educated in Portugal, Maria came to Lawrence in 1972. Once in Lawrence, she met the love of her life, her husband, Fernando. She worked at Bronzetti Clothing and AT&T. She loved to travel and went on over thirty cruises. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and her lasagna was the best.

Maria is survived by her beloved husband of twenty-eight years, Fernando D’Attorre; her daughter, Adilia Vieira and her husband Joe of FL; her granddaughter, Ashley Sloan and her husband Howard of FL; and her great-grandchildren, Landon and Sophia. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex Street in Lawrence. The family requests that anyone attending the service to please meet at the church. Entombment will follow at St. Mary – Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Lawrence.
