Margaret A. (Roma) Parisi, 86, of Methuen passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. Born in Endicott, New York, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Eleanora (Mancini) Roma.
Raised and educated in the New York School system, Margaret moved to Massachusetts in the 1950s, settling in Methuen. After her husband passed away, she worked two jobs until becoming ill in order to support her family. She loved to travel especially with her friends, and mostly spending time with her family.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband of twenty-six years, Anthony Parisi; sister, Libra Vavra; brothers, Dominic and Carlo Roma.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Carosi and her husband, James A. “Tony” of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; son, Daniel Parisi and his wife, Donna of Methuen; siblings, Joseph Roma of NJ, Mamie Paniccia and her husband, Alfred of NY; adored grandmother of four grandchildren, Carrie Carosi, Danielle Pikus, Lauren and Alex Parisi; great-grandchildren, Oliver Pikus and Landon Mustapha. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 9:00-10:30 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 11th at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy Parish, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to Nevins Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 10 Ingalls Ct., Methuen, MA 01844.
