Lydia F. Parolisi

Lydia Francas (Nistico) Parolisi, 85, of Haverhill, MA, formerly of Andover, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Ashland Farms in North Andover. Born on May 18, 1933 in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Michelina (Jacobo) Nistico.

Lydia grew up in the Prospect Hill area and attended Lawrence schools, and graduating from Lawrence High School. Lydia went on to marry the love of her life, Cosimo, and welcomed her only son, Thomas. During her marriage, she was fortunate to travel to many countries and play tennis together with friends and relatives. She retired from the IRS in 1997. Lydia brought her family to Andover where they built their dream home. She enjoyed to entertain, cook, and be surrounded by her loved ones.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ashland Farms as well as All Care Hospice for their incredible kindness and care.

Lydia was predeceased by her husband, Cosimo A. Parolisi.

Lydia is survived by her loving son, Thomas Parolisi and his wife, Deborah of Haverhill; two grandchildren, Christina Turmel and her husband, Jeffrey of Methuen and Jeffrey Parolisi and his wife, Shannon of Groveland; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jessica Turmel, Gianna, Corbin, and Aaron Parolisi; brother, Joseph Nistico and his wife, Deborah of FL; sister-in-law, Josephine Palermo; brother-in-law, Steven Parolisi; best friend, Gisele Sy of CA. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday September 19, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Burial will follow at St. Mary-Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
