Lydia A. Dussault
May 14, 1933 ~ September 8, 2023 (age 90) 90 Years Old
Lydia A. (Retelle) Dussault, age 90, of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, on Friday, September 8, 2023, in the company of her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Dussault, with whom she shared sixty-nine years in marriage.
Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Clara (Huard) Retelle, Lydia was a graduate of St. Anne High School.
After enjoying many years, being blessed with the opportunity to be at home and provide for her family, Lydia dedicated many years of service to Bishop’s Restaurant in Lawrence greeting and making every guest feel welcomed as they arrived. She enjoyed many hours spent greeting people, as she loved to socialize with everyone she encountered. She loved to get to know people and make a connection with them. At home, Lydia always made it known that she lived with an open door policy and offered a safe place for all, which brought her much comfort. Most of all, Lydia enjoyed her family and the many memories they created together, whether it was over the holidays or over a Sunday dinner.
Lydia’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to their caretakers Jodi and Katie from Pathways Healthcare for their loving care and attention to Lydia, her husband Joseph, and the entire family over the course of this past year.
In addition to her husband, Joseph, Lydia was predeceased by her sister, Theresa McGuire and her best friend, Marilyn McCarthy.
