Welcome to the memorial page for

Lucy M. Maciariello

February 23, 2018

Lucy (Ciambella) Maciariello of Methuen, left those she loved, and those who dearly loved her, on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Lawrence General Hospital, Lawrence with her devoted family by her side.

Lucy was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Umberto and Mary (DeSimone) Ciambella. She was raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She cherished growing up with her close-knit family, which included her parents, grandparents, and brother, Nick and often recounted her happy days on Woodland Court in the Prospect Hill district of the city.

After graduation, Lucy went to work at a well-known toy manufacturer in Lawrence, and remained there until after her marriage to the love of her life, Peter Maciariello, also of Lawrence. She then became a homemaker excelling in cooking, decorating, and caring for her family.
Lucy and Pete moved to Methuen with her loving parents and raised their daughter, Cindy. There they spent many wonderful years and later welcomed their two treasured granddaughters, Katrina and Jessilyn. As a baby, Jessi repeatedly called her grandmother, “Burr,” a loving moniker that remained with her for the rest of her days. Everyone loved “Burr.”

She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend to those in her life. Family was her life and her heart extended to those she loved.
Lucy cherished time with her beloved husband and soul-mate, Peter, until his passing in 2012. Together they enjoyed visiting and vacationing at the beach, dining out, shopping, and above all else, spending time with their daughter and her family.

Heaven truly has welcomed another Angel…

Lucy is survived by her daughter, Cynthia and husband, John Rapa of Methuen; granddaughters, Katrina and Jessilyn Rapa of Methuen; devoted niece, Debra Tinney of Windham, NH; sister-in-law, Linda Ciambella of Methuen; family dog, Marlene; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Nicholas Ciambella of Methuen.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen.
