Lucille A. Lomazzo

Lucille A. (Tessitore) Lomazzo passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born at the Clover Hill Hospital in Methuen on November 17, 1945. Lucille was the daughter of the late Peter and Zina (Neri) Tessitore.

Lucille met the love of her life, Mike, as a junior at Lawrence High School. They were married in 1965 and have shared fifty-three loving years together.

After graduating from Lawrence High School with the class of 1963 and Fisher Junior College, class of 1965, Lucille began her career at Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH. Though she retired in 2013, she continued to keep busy by volunteering for Service Link of NH and enjoyed driving for caregivers. She loved to travel to her favorite winter destinations, among them the Virgin Islands, Aruba, and Cancun, but she especially enjoyed travelling to Italy.

Lucille has been a lifelong member of Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence, MA and St. Matthew’s Parish in Windham, NH.

The Lomazzo family would like to thank the entire caring staff under the supervision of Dr. Pedro Sanz at Dana Farber in Lawrence, and a special thank you to the talented staff at Lawrence General Hospital, 4th floor Russell for the professional skilled care and compassion they gave Lucille throughout her ordeal.

She was predeceased by her brother, Anthony"Tessi"Tessitore. 

Lucille is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Michael Lomazzo; her two nieces who were like daughters to her, Joanne Tessitore Wickson and her husband, Ricky of Salem, NH and Marie Tessitore Gurley of Hampstead, NH; nephew, Peter Tessitore of Litchfield, NH; brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Lomazzo of Stratham, NH; sister-in-law, Susan Tessitore of Englewood, FL; Godson, Derek Licata of Methuen; grandniece, Brooke Frigon of Windham, NH; grandnephew, Ross Gurley of Hampstead, NH. She also leaves two great-nephews and a great-niece. Lucille will also be sadly missed by her dearest and oldest friends, Joanne Calderone Loisel, Audrey Markey Salemme, Diane Latulippe Licata, Joanne Mendonsa Lowe, and Franny DeNoto Clougherty.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. in Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St. in Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lawrence General Hospital to support patient care.
