Louise T. Gosselin
April 16, 1943 ~ June 30, 2018 (age 75) 75 Years Old
Louise T. (Skiba) Gosselin, 75, of Methuen passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, June 30, 2018. Born in Lawrence, MA, she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Zembruski) Skiba.
Raised in Lawrence, Louise was a graduate of St. Mary High School and received her Master’s degree in education from Merrimack College. She was a licensed social worker at Nevin’s Adult Daycare. Known to many as “Sugar”, Louise radiated love and kindness to everyone she met. She was adored by her family and friends for her love of life and enjoyment in celebrating all that it had to offer. She had a gift for bringing people together and seeing the goodness in everyone and everything. Louise was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend and always attended to her family’s and others needs before her own. She enjoyed cooking, tending to her roses, entertaining everyone, and spending as much time as possible with her loved ones, especially with her grandchildren. Louise was often referred to as a “saint on earth” and she will continue to guide us, care for us, and smile down upon us all.
She is predeceased by her brother, Joseph Skiba.
Louise is survived by her beloved husband, Norman C. Gosselin of Methuen; daughter, Julie A. LeMieux of Hooksett, NH; son, Jim Gosselin of Methuen; and grandchildren, Evie, Isabelle, Keenan, Ava, Jaycek, and Nellie. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM on Friday, July 6th at St. Michael Parish, 196 Main St., North Andover. Burial will follow in Elwood Cemetery, Methuen.
