Lorraine G. Malignaggi

Lorraine G. Malignaggi, 79, late of Hudson, NH and formerly of Methuen, MA, passed away tragically on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. She was the wife of the late Samuel J. Malignaggi with whom she shared fifty-three wonderful years in marriage.

Born and raised in Lawrence, the daughter of the late Arthur and Yvonne (Jacques) Saindon, Lorraine was a graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1960. Following her marriage to Samuel, Lorraine and he moved to Methuen and raised their children.

As her children grew older, Lorraine returned to college; she proudly received a Bachelor’s Degree from Lesley College and began a career as a Social Worker, working for Greater Lawrence Community Action Council until her retirement. Very active and loving to help others, Lorraine volunteered with Lazarus House Ministries for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts, especially sewing. She was an active and proud member of the local Red Hat Society.

Always active and looking forward to spend time with her family, Lorraine was the first to attend and support her grandchildren at their sporting events. The company of her family brought her so much joy, the highlight of which were gatherings centered on the holidays. These special memories meant the world to her.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Michael Malignaggi and his wife Tasha of Nashua, NH; daughter Nicole M. Casbarro and her husband Daniel of New Haven, CT; grandchildren, Salvatore, December, Mazarine, Nece, Isha; siblings, Janice Ryan of Bradford, MA, Shirley Davis and her husband Steve of Methuen, MA, Bobby Saindon and his wife Laura North Andover, MA; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 between 9:00-10:30 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack Street, Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraine’s memory may be made to the Lazarus House Ministries, 412 Hampshire St., Lawrence, MA 01841.
