Loren M. Melton

Loren M. Melton, 75, of Salem, NH passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at High Pointe House in Haverhill with his family by his side. Born in Wellington, Kansas, he was the son of the late Lon and Louise (Fountain) Melton.

Loren was raised and educated in Arkansas. He served in the US Airforce from 1960-1964 and then moved to Massachusetts. He retired from Local 12 Plumbers & Pipefitters Union in Boston after forty-nine years of service. Loren enjoyed bowling, antique cars and was a member of the N.E. Vintage Thunderbird Club.

He was predeceased by his children, Timothy and Matthew Melton; siblings, Delores Ford, Floyd and George Melton, and his grandson, Damian Melton.

Loren is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Patricia (Wright) Melton; children, James Melton of Malden, Eileen Moreira of Stoneham, and Michael Melton of Waltham; step-children, Charmaine Mari and her husband Thomas of Woburn, Renee Zaya and her husband Paul of Saugus, and Amy Benson and her husband Ian of Billerica; sisters, Barbara Carson and her husband Bob, Vera Powers and her husband Mike, and Linda Smith all of Arkansas; brother, Ray Melton, also of Arkansas. He also leaves ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Friday, May 25, 2018 from 2:00-6:30 pm at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 6:30 pm in the funeral home chapel.
