Lillian A. (Carvalho) Ferreira, 87, of Methuen, formerly of Fall River, MA passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Lawrence General Hospital. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Albina (Castro) Carvalho.
Lillian was raised and educated in Fall River and has lived in Methuen since 1995. She retired from Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River where she worked as a purchasing agent. Lillian enjoyed boating, bowling, summers at Martha’s Vineyard, reading, and puzzles.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Ferreira.
Lillian is survived by her sons, David Ferreira and his wife, Charlene of Methuen and Steven Ferreira and his wife, Marla of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Kelly Verenini and her husband, Matt of Arlington, MA, Jennifer Ferreira of Methuen, and Kirsten Flowers and her husband, Darien of VA. She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Toren, Eli, and Zoey.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. in Methuen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 15, 2018 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or Alziemer's Association at www.alz.org.
