Laurence Gagnon

Laurence A Gagnon, 95, of Methuen, MA, passed away at home on Sunday, May 31, 2020, with his family by his side. He was born in Lawrence, MA, and was the son of the late Theodule and Aurore (Vaillancourt) Gagnon.

A graduate of Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, Laurence worked as an accountant. He was a member of St. Francis Parish in Dracut, MA. He was a people person and loved to chat with family and friends and anyone he met on the way. He touched many a heart.

Larry was predeceased by fourteen brothers and sisters.

Family members include his wife of seventy-one years, Theresa (Gingras) Gagnon; brother, Joseph Russel Gagnon and his wife, Theresa; daughter, Dianne Kelleher and her husband, Michael; sons, Dennis Gagnon and Mark Gagnon and his wife, Sandra; six grandchildren, Todd and his wife, Donna, Chad and his wife, Elizabeth, Meghan and her husband Robert, Lisa, Brandyn and her husband, Louis and Justin; and thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Merrimack Valley Hospice for their care and support over the past four months.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 5, 2020, at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Road in Dracut. Church capacity will be limited at this time. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen. Any desired memorial contributions in Laurence’s memory may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Lawrence, MA 01843.
