Laure Najem

Our beloved mother, Laure Taja Najem, passed to Glory on April 30, 2022, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Born on April 26, 1925, Laure was the daughter of Ameen and Filomina Taja in Beirut, Lebanon. She is the widow of Gebran Najem and is survived by her six children, Amal Feghali, widow of Raymond Feghali, Raffoul Najem, Elie and his wife Rosa Najem, George Najem, Zalfa and her husband Joseph Raad, May and her husband Radwan Maroun. She was a proud grandmother to Jennifer Najem, Laura  Najem Wagner, Joshua Najem, Raymond Najem, Megan Maroun El-Hayek, Anthony Raad, Christopher Najem, Marla Maroun Abourjeili, Mark Raad, and Michael Najem and a loving great-grandmother to six great grandchildren.

As the central figure of her family, Laure was a star in the eyes of her children. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to St. Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA 01841 or Community Christian Academy, 105 Princeton Blvd, Lowell, MA 01851.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, May 2, 2022, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony Church, 145 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in United Lebanese Cemetery Lawrence, MA.
