Karen M. Tucker

Karen M. (Humlak) Tucker passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 27, 2019 at Kaplan House in Danvers, MA.

The daughter of the late Nicholas and Frances (Picano) Humlak, Karen was born in Providence, RI on May 6, 1959. Karen, along with her sister, Lori, were raised to believe that love, faith, and family were the keys to a joyous life. She instilled the importance of treating others as you would want to be treated. Karen graduated from Attleboro High School, class of 1977. She attended Katherine Gibbs and graduated with her certificate in Secretarial Science. She worked for the Foxboro Company in the research division and as an EKG technician at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

She married the love of her life, Patrick in 1992. Karen soon became a homemaker tending to her children’s needs first and foremost. She was dedicated to her family and her loved ones. Karen’s passions in life were simple: she loved her family, most especially being a mother, animals, sewing, and being adventurous. She loved being with her family and her friends. In addition, she was actively involved with the Pet Rescue of New England and the Italian Greyhound Association.

Karen gave everything she had to people, her family and her dogs, no matter what life took away from her. Now she is at a place where her family and dogs are waiting. Life can’t hurt anymore.

Karen is survived by her husband, Patrick E. Tucker, and their two sons, Brian P. and Christopher N.; her sister, Lori A. Bellingreri and her husband, Stephen; and her two beloved dogs, Katie and Giuseppe. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Karen’s life by gathering for a funeral service at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at West Parish Cemetery in Andover. In lieu flowers, donations in Karen’s memory may be made to the M.S.P.C.A., 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
