Julie R. Ahles

Julie Rose Ahles, 77, of Andover, MA, peacefully passed away on August 13, 2021, at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 13, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Rose (Fragala) Decubellis.

Born and raised in Methuen, Julie attended the Lowell General Nursing Program after graduating from high school and began her career. She met the love of her life, Roland, and they began their family together. Julie worked at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen for forty-two years as a special care nursery nurse. She was a passionate, hard-worker who was loved by many. Julie enjoyed to sew, especially making quilts for her loved ones. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always looking out for her family and putting them first.

Along with her parents, Julie is also pre-deceased by her sister, Phylis Mistretta.

Julie will be deeply missed and is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Roland Ahles; children, Linda Moore and her husband Gregory of Texas, David Ahles and his wife Debra of Indiana, Cynthia Mailloux and her husband Russell of Massachusetts, and Daniel Ahles and his wife Amber of North Carolina; her brother Philip Decubellis and his wife Celeste of Massachusetts; and her grandchildren, Stefanie, Ashley, Benjamin, Jake, Samuel, Kristen, Mikayla and Danielle.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. Augustine Parish, 43 Essex St, Andover. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
