Joseph Sarcione, 89, of Methuen passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Carmine and Alesandra (DePari) Sarcione.
Joseph was a graduate of Searles High School and served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. For thirty years he owned and operated D&S Lunch in Lawrence. After he worked for Lawrence Maid Footware, Lowell Shoe, and Agfa.
Joseph was predeceased by his daughter, Alicia Pickles, and many siblings.
He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-eight years, Marion (Compopiano) Sarcione; son, David Sarcione and his wife, Pamela of Hampstead, NH; sister, Helen Pelletier of CA; grandchildren, Lauren Crossman and her husband, Corey, Andrea Gariepy and her husband, Steve, Derek Pickles, and Shaina Lumb, and Christopher Pickles; and his great-grandchildren, Ella, Madeline, Abigail, and Dante. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Elmwood Cemetery, North Lowell St., Methuen. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the High Pointe House at Merrimack Valley Hospice, merrimackvalleyhospice.org.
