Joseph Mosto, 80, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, August 21, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 27, 1940 in Pachino, Sicily, Joseph was the son of the late Salvatore Mosto and Giovanna Calvo. He immigrated to United States from Sicily in 1955 and worked as a garment presser at Grieco Brothers factory in Lawrence, MA for over forty years. Joseph was an avid fan of all the Boston sports teams, especially his beloved New England Patriots. Above all, Joe was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; his greatest joys in life came from quality time spent with his family.

Joseph is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Maria (Fichera) Mosto. He leaves his loving children: Salvatore Mosto and his wife Leticia, Al Mosto and his wife Alicia, Joanna McNamara and her husband Ryan, and Michael Mosto and his wife Jennifer.  His pride and joy were his eight grandchildren: Olivia, Joseph, Anthony, Gianni, Ava, Aidan, Alayna, and Teddy.

He is also survived by his sister, Concettina Pantano and her husband Salvatore, and his sister-in-law, Maria Mosto. He was preceded in death by his brother, Giovanni Mosto and sister, Giovanna Messina and her husband Carmelo. He will also be missed by his loving nieces and nephews.

In their time of loss, the family would like to thank the entire staff at Merrimack Valley Hospice for their care and support.

At the request of the family, private funeral services will be held and those who prefer, may make donations in Joseph’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
