Joseph Thomas Lambert

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Thomas Lambert of Methuen, loving husband and father on Saturday November 24, 2018.

Born and raised in Somerville, MA he was the son of the late  Augustas and Louise Lambert.  Joseph was a graduate of Somerville High school and Burdett College.  He was a sales representative for over 30 years.

Joseph met and married his loving wife Linda (DeAngelis) and they married in 1969.  For the last 32 years they have resided in Methuen.  Together they raised a family of two girls and proudly watched them start their own families.  He took great pride in his children and grandchildren. 
 
Joseph loved attending his grandchildren’s activities and events along with watching and cheering on the Patriots and Red Sox with Linda.  He learned a love Wheel of Fortune from his mother, Louise, and continued to watch it nightly.  He enjoyed summer trips to Ogunquit, ME,  spending time with his grandchildren.

He was an active political enthusiast and enjoyed coffee weekly with Methuen Pride members.  Labor Day was enjoyed with Melrose clam bakes where he made his famous "chowda."  He also hosted many Super bowl chili parties.
 
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Linda (DeAngelis) and two daughters, Michelle Alves and her husband, Rick, and Kathleen Hines and her husband, Dave; his predeceased sister, Elizabeth Lambert.  His brothers and sisters-in-law: Joseph DeAngelis and his wife, Faith, Cindy Young and her husband, Alan, Billy DeAngelis and his wife, Cherald, and Frank DeAngelis; four grandchildren: Cassandra, Payton, Teagan, and Brody.  He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen.  His funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 29th at St. Lucy Church,  254 Merrimack Street, Methuen, MA 01844.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
