Joseph Ferrigno, 88, of Lawrence passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Highpointe House in Haverhill. He was born in Lawrence where he was raised and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.
Joe was a US Navy veteran and later obtained his electrician’s license. He worked as an electrician and then joined the Lawrence Fire Department where he retired as Deputy Chief after thirty-two years of service. Joe was a member of the Lawrence Elks Club and enjoyed playing 45s and poker with his friends.
Joe was predeceased by his wives, Marjorie (Bibby) Ferrigno and Kathleen (Maginnis) Ferrigno; his granddaughter, Tanya Ferrigno, and his brothers, Charles, Anthony, and Frank.
He is survived by his children, Vincent Ferrigno of Lawrence and Theresa Smith of Worcester. He also leaves five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service with military honors at 11 am on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, North Andover. There will be no visiting hours.
