Jonathan L. Pieslak, 75, of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 16, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. Born and raised in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Alice (Dziadosz) Pieslak.
A graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1961, Jonathan attended Massachusetts College of Art and had a successful career as a commercial artist in his Boston studio. He also enlisted in the US Army, where he proudly served as a Private from 1965-1970. Jonathan was able to indulge in his love of travel when he became a flight attendant for United Airlines. Besides traveling the world, Jonathan also enjoyed cooking, dancing, and spending his summers in his home at Little Island Pond in Pelham, NH.
In addition to his parents, Jonathan was predeceased by three short months by his brother, Richard Pieslak.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Maureen Pieslak of Dracut, MA; niece, Melissa Curry and her husband, Sean of Dracut; nephew, Steven Pieslak and his wife, Juliette of Pelham; four great-nephews, Ryan and Matthew Curry of Dracut, and Jackson and William Pieslak of Pelham; best-friend, Thomas “Tom” Shea and his wife, Judith of Derry, NH; and beloved companion, Bette Kelley.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, December 23, 2019 from 10:00-12:30 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. His funeral service will follow calling hours at 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place at Polish National Catholic Cemetery in Methuen.
