John M. Moro

John M. Moro, Sr., 95, of Methuen passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Methuen. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Ottavio and Lucy Moro.

John was raised and educated in Lawrence. He worked for Davis and Furber Machine Company and later retired from the Raytheon Corporation, where he worked as a draftsman for thirty-seven years. He was a former member of the Methuen K of C # 4027. John was a talented craftsman who could do anything with his hands. He loved his family, especially Sunday dinners with his family.

John was predeceased by his wife, Emilia (Feole) Moro and his brother, George Moro.

He is survived by his sons, John M. Moro, Jr. of Seabrook Beach, NH and David Moro and his wife Everice of Portland, OR; brother, Patrick Moro of Florida; grandchildren, John, Stephen, Cary, Sarah, Daniel, and Joseph. He also leaves eight great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at St. Lucy Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
