John T. Mazzone
December 1, 1941 ~ January 17, 2022 (age 80) 80 Years Old
John T. Mazzone, 80, of Methuen, MA, passed away on January 17, 2022. He is born on December 1, 1941, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Rose (Cozzo) Mazzone. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Gene.
Born in Winthrop and raised in East Boston, John attended local schools. After he graduated from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he met the love of his life, Patricia, they were soon married and began their family. He was employed by the City of Methuen as a craftsman for twenty-plus years before his retirement.
John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and father-in-law. Most important to him was his family and he enjoyed spending time with all of them. His friends from the lake in Rome, ME where a second family to him. John was loved by all of his neighbors in Maine and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In his spare time, John loved to travel with his wife Patricia and enjoyed their many trips to Italy. He was never one to pass up a good meal and he especially loved Chinese food, lobsters, and Italian food. He also enjoyed spending time at the casino with his wife. A generous man, he was always willing to apply his handyman skills to whatever needed attention and generously helped anyone who needed it. He also enjoyed spending time at the local gym and watching his 80” TV at home.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his two daughters: Lisa Mazzone and her partner Lori Czerwonka of Billerica, MA, and Lori Hoyt and her husband Davin of Haverhill, MA. He was like a grandfather to Alannah and Cody Biancuzzo as well as Kayla, Sienna, and Isla Hoyt. He will be missed by his faithful companion, his dog, Princess.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. Burial will be private.
