John Ezzat Hanna passed away on January 28, 2021, at Lawrence General Hospital. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon, predeceased to parents, Ezzat Bechara Hanna and Alda Chafic Tannous Hanna.
John emigrated to Manchester, NH in 1976. He went to Merrimack College, the University of New Hampshire, and became an entrepreneur within the food industry.
A devoted husband, dedicated father, loving son, and caring brother, John unconditionally loved everyone. He was genuinely concerned about all his friends’ wellbeing. If you knew him, he surely called you frequently to check on you and your family. He would make everyone’s problems his own and try to help solve them. He would always introduce and connect many people together in order to grow the Lebanese community. Although having kidney failure for twenty-four years, not one day did he ever let anyone feel his pain. Never once complaining, he would always say, “Thank God for everything we have.”
John is survived by his beloved wife, Colette, and their son, Anthony of North Andover, MA; brother, Ghassan Hanna and his wife Grace and their sons, Jonathan and Michael of Salem, NH; sister, Rita Abirached and her husband Philip, and their children, Joseph, Andrew, Tia, and Rana of Windham, NH; and sister, Christianne Mouzannar and her husband Dori, and their children, Sama and Sari of Beirut, Lebanon.
