Joan A. Tammaro

Joan A. Tammaro, 70, of Andover passed away peacefully at her home after a long illness surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Born in Everett, MA, she is the daughter of Gloria Cioffi and the late Domenic Tammaro.

Raised in Everett, Joan was a graduate of Everett High School, class of 1965. She became a homemaker tending to her family’s needs first and foremost. She was dedicated to her family and her loved ones. Joan also enjoyed interior decorating, fashion, and mostly spending as much time possible with her loved ones, especially with her grandchildren. She was affectionately known as Mema to them.

She is predeceased by her son, Frank Tammaro, III; and sister, Beana Tammaro.

Joan is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Tammaro, Jr. of Andover; daughter, Kristan Collins and her husband, Craig of Byfield; son, James Tammaro and his wife, Lisa of Andover; sister, Deborah DePasqua and her husband, Dennis of Brockton; brother, David Tammaro and his wife, Faith of East Bridgewater; and grandchildren, Katie and Jennifer Collins, Ethan and Luke Vitali. She was also a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Friday, April 20, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Saturday, April 21st at St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex St., Andover.
