Joan M. Taga

Joan M. Taga, 86, of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully July 26, 2020, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston. Born in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Julia (Hajjar) Taga.

Raised in Lawrence, Joan was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She worked for many years as an administrative assistant and office manager for the Lawrence Paper Board as well as a sales associate for Jordan Marsh. She most recently worked in the office of Dr. William Edwards of Salem, NH. Joan loved to travel, to laugh, and to spend time with her family and friends. Some of her favorite past times were driving to the beach, reading, and going to dinner with her girlfriends.

Joan was predeceased by her brother, Frederick Taga, her brothers-in-law, Robert D. Carroll and L. Peter Donahue; her partner, William Todd; and many aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her sisters, Lorraine Carroll of Lowell and Evelyn Donahue of Salem, NH; nieces, Alison Carroll of Lowell and Stefanie Carroll of San Francisco, CA; and her aunt, Rosalind Hajjar of Hudson, NH. She also leaves her dear friends, Michele and Bill Edwards, Donna Dizazzo, and the entire Todd family, as well as her lifelong friends, Grace and Thomas Busta.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, August 1, 2020, from 9:00-11:00 AM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Methuen.
