Jerome S. DiMauro, 84, of Summerfield, FL, formerly of Salem, NH, peacefully passed away at Brandley Hospice House. He was born in Lawrence, MA and was the son of the late Antonio and Venera (Nicolosi) DiMauro.
He attended Central Catholic High School and later went to Northeastern University where he studied to be an engineer and graduated with a bachelor’s in Engineering. Jerome went on to marry the love of his life, Rose Misserville. He was a hardworking, self-employed stock broker and later in life became a financial planner and remained working in this profession up until August of 2020.
He was a proud member of the Horizon Players of Spruce Creek Country Club at Del Webb in Summerfield, FL. Jerome was given many lead roles in the plays he participated in with the drama club. He enjoyed going on walks, working in his yard, was an avid Patriots fan, and traveled extensively with Rose while owning Atlantis Travel in Methuen for many years.
His family meant everything to him, he loved spending time with them, and playing 45s with his wife. Being the family man he was, he would spend his free time making family videos, most especially of his children and grandchildren. Jerome was also a great dancer; he and Rose used to go ballroom dancing and dancing to Big Band music was his favorite.
Jerome was predeceased by wife, Rose “Bunny” (Misserville) DiMauro, with whom he spent sixty happy years.
He will be deeply missed and is survived by his adoring children, Gary DiMauro and his wife, Kathryn Windley of Milan, NY, Cynthia DiMauro Valentino and her husband, Louis of Salem, NH; siblings, Josephine Napoli, and A.J. Dimauro; cherished grandchildren, Ryan Halloran, Karissa Halloran, and Nina Russo; great-grandchildren, Dominic Kattar and Jovani Barbetta; cousins, Paula Trask Jeffries and Danny Farraro; along with several other nieces and nephews. In addition, he also leaves behind his companion, Barbara Beach.
Due to the current situation with Coronavirus, Jerome’s family will have all services in private with the assistance of Cataudella Funeral Home in Methuen.
