Jennifer A. Boyd
April 9, 1978 ~ May 27, 2021 (age 43) 43 Years Old
In loving memory Jennifer A. Boyd April 9, 1978 – May 27, 2021
Jennifer A. (Buckley) Boyd, 43, of Wilmington, MA, loving wife of Derek M. Boyd, and devoted mother of Ava Rose Boyd, passed away unexpectedly on May 27, 2021.
Jen attended Haverhill High School in Haverhill, MA before earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts--Lowell. Most recently, she worked for the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Criminal Investigative Service, Boston, MA, as an Investigative Support Specialist. Previously, she was an Investigative Analyst for the U.S. Secret Service in Boston, MA, where she met Derek in 2006. Jen and Derek were married at Sacred Hearts Church in Bradford, MA, in 2010.
In addition to Derek and Ava, Jen is survived by her father, Michael J. Buckley of Bradford; her brother and sister-in-law, Michael R. and Allison Buckley of West Boylston, MA; her sister and brother-in-law, Shannon and Steve Crowley of Dunbarton, NH; and her nieces and nephews, Henry, Makenzie, Ryan, and Charlotte. Jen was predeceased by her mother, Rosemary P. Buckley in 2006. It is impossible to describe how greatly Jen will be missed by all the members of her and Derek’s extended families.
There was nothing more important to Jen than her family. She loved Derek and Ava with all her heart and devoted herself to being the best possible wife and mother. Jen was an exceptional daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who expressed her thoughtfulness to her family, friends, and neighbors in countless ways. Following the passing of her mother, Jen took on the role of the family matriarch, ensuring everyone in the family was loved and cared for. As a beloved ‘Auntie’, Jen adored her nieces and nephews as much as they adored her. Jen’s legendary planning and organizational skills were the glue that kept the family going, and her inner strength helped her successfully battle breast cancer in 2013. Besides her family and friends, some of Jen’s favorite things included roses, dolphins, country music, and spending time at the beach. Her friends and family have thousands of special memories of Jen, which they will cherish in their hearts forever.
