Jeb Stewart Melvin

Jeb Stewart Melvin, 39, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in Dexter, ME. He was born February 19, 1979 in Lawrence and was the son of William and Marylou (Ricci) Melvin.

Jeb grew up in Salisbury, as an adult lived in New Hampshire, and eventually settled in Maine. He earned his GED and worked in construction for several years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and was taken from too soon. We will hold on to our memories of him as a child playing with his brothers and cousins, as a teenager spreading his wings and as an adult overcoming life challenges. His greatest accomplishment was being a father. We will treasure the time we had with Jeb and find comfort when we are with his children and sharing memories of him.

Besides his loving parents, Jeb is survived by his partner, Anita Leo; his brother, Jonathan Melvin; his children, Kayla Melvin, Jena Erickson, Antonio Milito, Jade Melvin and Izabella Melvin; two stepsons, Derek and Nathan Mishaud; his paternal grandfather, John Alses; he is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother, Chad Melvin, who passed in 2014; his maternal grandparents, Carl and Edith Ricci; and his paternal grandmother, Shirley Alses.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. His funeral service will follow at the conclusion of visiting hours, with cremation to follow.
