Jeannette A.J. Paduchowski

July 22, 1934 ~ September 19, 2021 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Tribute

Jeannette Amanda Jaqueline (Benoit) Paduchowski, 87, of Danville, NH, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2021, at Mass General Hospital in Boston surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Richard in 2019.

Jeannette was born in Lawrence, MA and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1954. She worked at CBS Hytron in Danvers as a tube assembler. She met her husband, Richard, at the John Tarbox School in Lawrence. They decided to go steady on November 7, 1949. On August 24, 1958, Jeannette and Richard married at St. Anne’s Church.

As a “domestic engineer,” Jeannette raised six children and her granddaughter, Krista, with whom she was exceptionally close. All the while, she managed the household finances, as well as the books for Penn’s Pharmacy, which Richard owned. Since Jeannette could not accept the idea of daycare, she was very active in taking care of all her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Steven, Connor, Zachary, and Alicia, babysitting well into her 70s.

After moving to New Hampshire, Jeannette went to drivers ed and obtained her first license at the age of 50. All her children agree, she was never afraid of anything, and nothing ever stopped her when she put her mind to something.

She and Richard had a timeshare in Aruba, which they went to every September for nearly 20 years. To hear them talk about Aruba is to know it was their heaven on earth. They went last as a family in 2015.

There was nothing Jeannette loved more than watching the Celtics, Patriots, and Bruins with Richard. They owned a second television because she was not a fan of golf and baseball, unlike Richard. She also loved to garden and passed on her love of plants and flowers to many of her children.

She could hardly be described as tech savvy, but she loved her iPad! She stayed connected with family and friends near and far using Facebook and Messenger. She also played games, took pictures, and always posted messages of thanks to her kids and grandkids after every visit or if they helped her with a task, always ending each post with: “I love you.”

Jeannette was remarkedly strong and brave; traits she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She was also fiercely independent, often doing chores herself even when help was offered.
Jeannette is survived by her children: Allan Paduchowski of Salem NH, Richard Paduchowski of Sanger, TX, Michael Paduchowski and his spouse Jay of Londonderry, NH, Diane Porcelli of Ellenton, FL, Linda Paduchowski and her spouse Darlene of Danville, NH, Donna Griffin and her husband Stephen Porcelli of Londonderry, NH; her brother, Ronald “Ben” Benoit and his wife Helen of Hampton, NH; sister, Carol Albach and her husband Bob of Mobile, AL; and her sister-in-law, Charlene Grady of Lyman, ME. She is also survived by six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeannette was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and Raymond Benoit.

Jeannette was a lifelong supporter of St. Jude’s Research Hospital for Children. In lieu of flowers, Jeannette and the family love the idea of donations to St. Jude’s in her memory. Donations can be made online at www.stjude.org/donate or mailed to 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Mom, from all of us, we love you a bushel and a peck!

Per Jeannette’s request, the family is having a party to celebrate her life. All friends and family are invited to celebrate Jeannette on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Jeannette’s home, 17B Granite Drive, Danville, NH from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
