Jeannette Adelina Carbo

Jeannette Adelina Carbo, 76, of Cranston, RI, formerly of Lawrence, MA, and Connecticut, passed away at her son’s home with her loving family by her side after courageously battling a long illness. Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, she was the daughter of the late Germania Teresa Yepez and Carlos Fausto Carbo.

Raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Jeannette graduated from El Colegio La Dolorosa. At 19 years old, she settled in the Merrimack Valley, and worked diligently and tirelessly as a project manager until she retired from Lucent Technologies after 30 years. She moved to Connecticut and reinvented herself in her 50s, finding her life’s passion as a preschool teacher for another decade.

Jeannette will be remembered for her culinary talent, unparalleled work ethic, unwavering faith, and limitless devotion to her family.

Jeannette is survived by her sons, Antonio “Tony” Chiuchiolo and his wife Caitlin Kelleher of Bristol, CT, Joshua Gorra and his fiancée Vanessa Gutierrez of Cranston, RI, and Ismael Gorra of Hollywood, FL; brothers, Carlos Carbo of Ecuador and Carlos Avellan and his wife Joan of Lawrence, MA, and her five beloved grandchildren, Elijah, Sofia, Mia, Madeline, and Elizabeth. She also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, October 4, 2021, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 11:30 AM at St. Michael Church, 196 Main Street in North Andover. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover.
