Jeannette A. Brosco

Jeannette A. Brosco, 88 of Lawrence, passed away at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen on Friday, January 18, 2019. Born and raised in Lawrence, Jeannette was one of two children born to the late Thomas and Lillian (Paolino) Brosco.

After high school, Jeannette enrolled into Katharine Gibbs College in Boston, where she received her degree in secretarial studies. After her graduation, she worked as an administrative assistant for Dr. Harry Byrne Optometry for over twenty years. She then worked for Textron Company as an administrative assistant for an additional ten years. During and following her employments, Jeannette loved to travel everywhere.

Jeannette loved to ski and was a proud member of the Lawrencian Ski Club Lodge in Bartlett, NH for many years. She was influential in having some family and friends join the ski club as well. In addition, she was a member of Corpus Christi at Holy Rosary Parish and Saint Rita’s Society. She was a sun worshiper and loved to go to the beach and the ocean.

Jeannette will always be remembered for being humble, yet self-assertive. She was an independent person who proudly helped any member of her family, especially babysitting. Her nieces and nephews were her world and were treated as if they were her own children.

In addition to her parents, Jeannette was pre-deceased by her sister, Geraldine Brosco. Jeannette is lovingly survived by her Goddaughter, Erika, and her husband Michael Roman of Fremont, NH; nieces and nephews, Gina Wilkinson, and her husband Rick of VA, Rob Mele, and his wife Susan of Amesbury; first cousin and caregiver, John Mele, Sr., and his wife Linda of Haverhill; cousins, Robert Mele, and his wife Kathy of Methuen Eleanor Fusco of CT, John Mele, Jr., and his wife Monique of Bradford, Pamela Durkin her husband Kevin of Haverhill, Christine Welch, and her husband Joseph of Methuen, John Paolino, Charles Vitale of NH; many loving great-nieces, nephews and cousins; Jeannette’s dear friend, Mary Ann Doyle, and her husband Joe of Salem, NH.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street in Methuen. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM in Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex Street in Lawrence.
